How did you get started in business: I had years of food and beverage management under my belt and my partner had years of commercial bakery experience. We decided to join forces and combine our complimentary skills to start our own food business.

How does your product or service solve a problem: We provide Niagara and beyond with a dessert that is not only tasty, but 100% vegan and plant based. If you are a vegan eater you will know how difficult it is to find good quality vegan products, we have made it accessible to the masses. 

What’s the biggest struggle you’ve had in starting a business: Finding the capital to get started straight out of university and getting creative with a shoestring budget. I had to do a lot of the renovations myself and spend the first three months of my new business venture in and out of Home Depot buying supplies for DIY reno projects to get the business up and running.  

What task are you most confident about in starting your business: I personally was most confident with my ability to engage an audience successfully through the use of social media with a $0 advertising budget. It was one of the most important factors that contributed to the success we have experienced to date.
